CURe Kit launched

CRS officially launched CURe CTI treatment kit for male urethritis in Itahari, Morang District, Nepal on January 24, 2011 in the presence of Dr. Yesho Vardhan Pradhan, Director-General, Department of Health Services; Dr. Bhim Prasad Acharya, Regional Health Director; Dr. Krishna Kumar Rai, Director, National Centre for AIDS and STD Control; Mr. Pangday Yonzone, Program Specialist, USAID/Nepal; Mr. Peter Oyloe, Chief of Party, AED.   Local print, radio and television reporters also joined the ceremony. 

The Kit is available through 100 medical shops spanning the length of the east-west highway of the country. The first 100 medical shops to offer CURe were selected based upon the medical qualifications of pharmacists operating from them and their proximity to the east-west highway.
