Nepal CRS Company is a model Nepali-managed social marketing company in the Family Planning and Health sector in Nepal and aims to become as a self-sufficient non-profit organization by the year 2014.
Over the next four year period, CRS continues to shift its focus from solely meeting sales objectives through distribution and brand promotion, to a broader social marketing approach of expanding the entire market for family planning products and services. All this, while directly serving a larger proportion of the market at subsidised cost without negatively impacting on the quality of the program and ensuring that commodities are available in the market and through grass-root level programs.
CRS through its decentralization has led to strengthening of field efforts, and views its role as multi-faceted - beginning at the community level as its activities have centered on demand creation through targeted marketing and Behavior Change Communication interventions.
